The US business cycle is intact and talk of a recession overblown. Meanwhile

Trump’s peace proposal to end the war in Ukraine will prevail,  with some compromises perhaps. For Trump there is a bigger game at play: breaking the Russia-China alliance by deepening economic engagement and re-integrating Russia into the world economy.  The US economic and geopolitical dominance hinges on this. Closing the Global North-South divide and preserving the US dollar’s pre-eminence are other motivations..
