Issue 29: China Travelogue

Trading Post is just back from China – two intensive weeks on the ground, meeting with companies and government across provinces. It was hectic, but an eye-opener. Three takeaways. First, China is back in business. Second, geopolitics and Trump’s trade war are re-shaping alliances. Third, innovation knows no boundaries. For Europe China has become even more vital to its green transition. China too is looking for new friends. At the same time the shift in government mindset – now clearly  pro-private sector government mindset -  means that domestic innovation in the green technology, AI, advanced manufacturing, biotech among others is advancing at a breathtaking pace.
