The US and Iran are jostling to maximise leverage, but Trump has blinked and the escalation phase of the war is over. Global oil and gas supply and demand balances are tightening. Inflation is rising as expected but Trading Post is not expecting a resurgence and the worst-case economic scenario to materialise even though risks have risen.
