Don’t overlook Asean 4 just because they are, in US$ GDP terms,  small compared with NE Asian peers. Since the pandemic Asean 4 economies have outperformed Japan, Korea and Taiwan. Their robust domestic demand has provided resilience against global economic challenges, and their export cycles have remained stronger than anticipated. And then there are the structural growth stories of Malaysian and the Philippines to consider.  Overweight, Malaysian and Philippines equities, underweight, Indonesian and Thai.
